SKINCARE: ERHA CLINIC PART III

Setelah proses  DPCT (Deep Pore Cleansing Therapy) with oil control serum, kulit mukaku merah-merah selama kurang lebih satu hari. Aku sarankan kalau mau melakukan DPCT sebaiknya saat long weekend atau libur agak panjang, kenapa? Biar nggak malu kalau keluar rumah atau ketemu orang lain. 

Seminggu setelahnya aku maskeran pakai Erha Collagen Mask yang dikasih sama therapistnya waktu DPCT.  Awalnya sih aku agak meragukan kempuan masker ini, ngga tahunya hasilnya memuaskan, kulit terasa sejuk dan kenyal, habis maskeran kelihatan lebih putih dan seger, I like it!

Untuk sehari-harinya aku tetap lanjut perawatan pakai regimen Erha aku yang biasa. Namun saat kulitku kering dan mengelupas aku memutuskan untuk tambahkan Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Serum sebelum pakai krim apapun ( review here: http://vixenlady.blogspot.com/2013/02/holly-grail-product-review-kiehls.html ) dan Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream  setelah pakai AMG1 (malam) dan sebelum pakai AF5 (Siang) (review here: http://vixenlady.blogspot.com/2013/06/kiehls-ultra-facial-cream.html ).  Aku ngga tahu apakah efeknya buruk ke kulit apabila dicampur dengan krim-krim Erha lainnya, namun selama ini aku ngga melihat ada iritasi atau bad effect. Kalau kulitku nggak kering, dua produk Kiehl’s tadi nggak aku pakai.

Akhirnya, karena persediaan krim-krim semakin menipis, pada hari Minggu aku memutuskan untuk kembali ke Erha dan melakukan konsultasi serta beli skin care produk baru. Untuk pelanggan Erha Serpong aku sarankan sebaiknya ngga datang saat hari Minggu, rameeeee.... Aku sudah bikin janji jam 11.00 satu hari sebelumnya, namun mbak di telepon bilang bahwa cepat atau lambatnya tergantung dari antrian nomor yang kita ambil pada hari-H. Aku sudah pede karena datang jam 10.50 WIB, namun pas naik ke lantai atas ternyata sudah banyak juga yang antri sebelum aku, jadilah aku baru konsultasi dengan dokter jam 12.30 (lumayan nunggu satu setengah jam).

Dokter aku kali ini berbeda dengan dokter yang pertama.  Yang pertama dr. Rima, yang ini namanya dr. Prima (mirip-mirip ya). Beliau menanyakan apakah ada keluhan ketika memakai obat-obat Erha, aku jawab nggak, justru kulit aku improve, kelihatan ngga kterlalu berminyak, lebih mulus, jerawat-jerawat hilang, dan tekstur lebih lembut, namun aku ingin bekasnya hilang.

Oleh karena itu beliau mengganti produk rutin aku sebagai berikut:

Pagi:

Acne Clensing Scrub with Benzoil Peroxide ( ASC BP ini nggak aku beli karena masih ada)

Acne Moisturizer Gel 1 (AMG1)  Rp 75.000,-

Acne Foundation 5 (AF5 ini saat kutanya ternyata sunblock yang ada obat jerawatnya, aku kurang suka teksturnya yang cair namun lengket) Rp 75.000,-

Malam:

Acne Clensing Scrub with Benzoil Peroxide ( ASC BP)

Acne Moisturizer Gel 2 (AMG 2) Rp 50.000,-

Acne Night Cream 3 (menurut  dokter, ANC3 ini berguna untuk membantu pengelupasan kulit mati. Krimnya harus ditaruh di kulkas) Rp 75.000,-

Tambahan:
Acne Spot Treatment (AST) Rp 50.000,-     

Biaya konsultasi Rp 160.000,-

Total biaya yang aku keluarkan kali ini adalah Rp 485.000,-  karena masih ada closed comedo di kulit aku, Dr. Prima menyarankan untuk peeling sebanyak dua kali (setelah peeling pertama beri waktu dua minggu untuk peeling selanjutnya) sebelum facial lagi.  Karena banyak bekas jerawat yang agak dalam Dr. Prima bilang akan susah kalau hanya pake krim, oleh karena itu setelah facial akan dilihat lagi tindakan apa yang harus diambil.

Jadi bagaimana kelanjutan perwatan kulitku di Erha? Akan aku report lagi setelah peeling ya :D

L’occitane 20% Shea Butter Hand Cream

Hi Ladies,

Today I will do a review  on this L’occitane 20% Shea Butter Dry Skin Hand Cream. I’ve been carried this baby in my bag since I got it.

From L’occitane website:

Enriched with 20% Shea Butter this super-creamy balm penetrates quickly to protect, nourish and moisturize hands. Honey, almond extracts and coconut oil are blended with Shea Butter to create this extremely effective formula. The rich texture leaves hands soft and smooth with no oily traces, and can be applied as often as needed.

Considered a “beauty must-have” by many, this “life-changing” hand cream is essential for home, work and on-the-go.”

Pros:

• It contains honey, coconut oil, almond extract, and 20% shea butter, All yummy  good things to nourish my cracked hand.
• I like the rich and creamy texture. Rich cream all the way! I love this kind of texture.
• It is slightly balmy but rub it for sometimes and it is absorb easily.
• A little goes a long way, I only use as big as my short pinky nail, it moisturized both of my hand perfectly.
• The smells remind me of a ‘baby smell’. Comforting, a little powdery.
• Comes in different size of tube suitable for your needs. There is a ‘small’, ‘medium’, ‘large’ tube. Mine is the medium (75ml/2.6 oz.).
• The best thing is, it last a long time, even through multiple hand washing

Cons:

• It is expensive. I believe it is already expensive in France or US, in my country it becomes twice expensive. It cost me Rp 250.000,- (around US $ 25) for 75ml/2.6 oz.
• I feel slightly uncomfortable with the cap. Since it is very small, I’m afraid I lost it.

I feel like L’occitane has the best hand creams I have ever tried. I will continue to buy hand cream from them.

Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream

Because of using my Erha Clinic products that prescribed by my dermatologist, my face becomes really dry lately. So dry, it flakes on my neck, cheek, and chin. Don’t get me wrong, I honestly think that my Erha products really help my acne, but I just don’t like having dry flaky skin, so I got this Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream.

I just want a simple moisturizer, it has to be creamy enough to hydrate my cracked skin, it should be  able to be absorbed easily when applied on my skin, and I think this product just does that. The cream itself is rich without being sticky and oily, the texture enable me to do a massage on my face. I believe this cream is fragrance-free, it doesn’t smell like anything, It doesn’t irritate the skin and eye area, it leaves a soothing and smooth feeling. Another good thing is, this doesn’t make me break out. My skin looks more glowing after using it.

The packaging is a big plastic jar, I feel that it could be unsanitary because I have to dip my finger and it is constantly exposed to the air whenever the lid comes off. To minimize bacteria from growing use a spatula or wash your hand first before sticking your finger in it. Other that that I love this cream. I recommend it to people who has dry skin.

Benefit Hervana Box o' Powder

Today review is about my current favorite blush, Benefit Box o’Podwer Hervana. I’ve been wanting to tried this for so long, earlier this year when I was in Singapore, I was confused whether to buy this or Dior blush, I bought the Dior one at that time. Now when Benefit Cosmetics available in Plaza Indonesia, I finally got myself Hervana.

The packaging is cute, a white, pink, and purple cardboard box, flip-top, and mirror inside. Some people say the packaging is bulky and inconvenient for travel, but for me the packaging is very appealing, unique and fits perfectly in my palm. However I find the mirror is too small to use, I use another compact when touching up my face with this product. The good thing is the small angled brush works perfectly fine. I had a doubt about it on the first time, but it just works very well.

The price is quite expensive, for Rp 350.000,- I get 8 grams of product. Inside, It has 4 different shades - lucky shell, divine peach, heavenly rose and berry delight. I swirl them together  before sweeping it on my cheek, I believe I could use each shade individually, just pick the color with a very small brush, but I feel it takes too much works. If I look closely, I see a very fine shimmer in it, but on my cheek it goes completely matte.

The color is very hard to describe, on some days it looks peach on my skin, dare I say I look bronze. On different day it looks pink with a slight coral tone in it, on another day it looks pink with a lot of purple tone. I think the color changes depends on what shade I pick the most with the brush and what color lipstick I use on that day. Every application pleasantly surprise me. But basically no matter what color shows up, it always gives me a ‘lit from within look’, a beautiful wash of color, natural and soft, never too heavy.

The pigmentation is quite nice, not the most pigmented but not completely colorless either. It goes on sheer but I can build it on my NC25 skin. However, for darker skin ladies this product might not show up very well on your skin tone, try Bella Bamba or Coralista instead. Longevity is good, I wear it for about 5 hours in hot humid weather and it is not disappear (maybe having oily skin helps too, blush sticks better on my skin).

One of the downside is, the smells is very weird, a sour lilac smell, some might like it but I just can’t enjoy it. I think the ‘sour’ smell comes from the brush, I hope it disappear someday. Overall I enjoy using this blush very much, this makes me want to try another Box o’Powder, maybe Sugarbomb or Coralista next? Add a little High Beam on it? I think High Beam would be lovely if combined with Hervana, what do you think? 

Current Eye Routine

In this post I will show you my current eye routine, it consist of two products which are L’oreal Eye and Lip Makeup Remover and The Body Shop Moisture White Shiso Eye Serum.

         The L’oreal Eye and Lip Makeup Remover

I tried to clean my eye makeup with Bioderma, apparently it didn’t work well on waterproof mascara and it stung my eyes like crazy! I’d like to try the Lancome Bi-Facil someday, but that one is very expensive, so I guess for now this L’oreal would do.

It works nice clean off my waterproof mascara. No hard rubbing necessary. I just shake the bottle so the two liquid part mix together, soak a cotton pad, put it on my eye for several seconds and wipe it away. Repeat a few times until the eye area is completely clean. Non drying, non irritating, doesn’t dry out my eye area. A great waterproof makeup remover. As a lipstick remover this product also works fine, but I don’t like the taste of it, so I prefer my Vaseline Petroleum Jelly for that purpose.

Price: I believe it is around Rp 60.000,- I forget how much exactly this cost, but Watsons and Guardian often have this product on sale.

         The Body Shop Moisture White Shiso Eye Serum

I believe full of retinol anti-aging eye cream is unnecessary in my age, I have no wrinkle or sagging (yet!) but I have dark circle and eye bags because lack of sleep.  A lot of people said that using a moisturizing eye cream from young age is good thing to do. We prevent the skin around our eyes from premature aging.

This product contains shiso extract. Shisho is some kind of Japanese herbs that belongs in a mint family. It has a nice packaging, a small white bottle with pump. A little product goes a long way, the pump dispense a lot of product so be careful. It is a decent moisturizer, that’s it. I have use this for months and I haven’t noticed any significant improvement on my dark circle. For the price I think it is not worth it.

The Body Shop Haul and Review

The Body Shop Coconut Body Butter

I got a new one, the smell of this coconut type is very delicious. Warm and sweet but not too sickly. Its good for dry skin since it is very moisturizing, but it could be ‘too much’ (scent and texture wise) in the middle of a hot summer day.

Price: Rp 189.000,-

The Body Shop Shea Sugar Scrub 

This is a very high duty scrub, a thick coarse sugar, if you keep massage it, some of the sugar will ball up and create a nasty gunk of dirt and dead skin cells, some will melt and create a very emollient oil. Still moisturizing even after I wash it off,  my skin feels soft even a few days  after scrubbing. Be careful if you have sensitive skin. It could be too abrasive.

Price: Rp 179.000,-

The Body Shop Peppermint Intensive Foot Rescue 

I was a loyal customer of Oriflame Foot Cream, but because there’s no Oriflame seller near me anymore, I stopped buying it. That’s why I try The Body Shop Peppermint Intensive Foot Rescue. Texture wise, I feel that Oriflame much creamier  and richer than this, but the weird thing is The Body Shop makes my skin much softer.

The smell of this product is delicious! Subtle sweet peppermint scent, a special foot pampering before sleep.  I use The Body Shop Shea Sugar Scrub and pumice stone before that, slather a generous amount of this cream, and put a socks on.  After a few days doing it, my feet feel softer and noticeably cleaner.

Setelah melakukan acne peeling, selama tiga hari aku nggak pakai makeup. Cuci muka pun aku hanya pakai air saja karena takut menimbulkan reaksi negatif ke kulit yang habis di peeling. Rasanya sangat ngga pede! dekil kelihatannya. 

Setelah satu hari peeling, aku melihat ada kulit yang mulai mengelupas di area dagu, namun digosok lembut pake washcloth dan air hangat juga rontok. Akhirnya setelah tiga hari no makeup and no skincare product, aku mulai pakai produk-produk Erha yang aku beli. 

Pagi:
Cuci muka dengan Acne Cleansing Scrub with Benzoil Peroxide (ACS BP) Rp 75.000,-
Oles rata Acne Moisturizer Gel 3 (AMG 3) Rp 50.000,-

Oleskan di jerawat Acne Spot Treatment (AST) Rp 50.000,-     
Minum Doxy Plus 2 kali sehari sebanyak 1 tablet (habiskan) Rp 76.000,-

Setelah beberapa hari pakai, mulai terasa perbedaannya di kulit aku. Krim-krim tersebut berhasil mengeringkan jerawat-jerawat yang ada, kebanyakan tinggal bekas hitamnya saja. Namun satu jerawat gede mirip bisul yang 'mendem' di cheekbone kiri dan belum hilang, aku maklum saja, karena biasanya jerawat jenis ini bisa sampai 2-3 minggu bandel berdiam di muka aku. Dipencet nggak bisa, karena ngga keluar 'matanya', didiamkan pun selalu meninggalkan bekas di muka aku. Jadi serba salah. 

The good thing is kulit aku jauh terasa lebih lembut, biasanya terasa kasar karena banyak tiny bumps, komedo, dan jerawat-jerawat kecil, kali ini terasa jauh lebih halus. Minyak pun jauh berkurang, biasanya baru sejam bermakeup aku sudah harus blot pakai kertas minyak, namun kali ini terasa lebih kering dan nggak terlalu shiny.

The bad things are, mungkin ini karena aku pakainya krim kebanyakan hingga melt ke bibir, jadi rasanya pahit banget di mulut aku, sekarang aku oles secukupnya saja, jauh-jauh dari area mulut, takut keracunan. Selain itu, krim malam Acne Moisturizer Gel 1 (AMG 1)  memberi sensasi digigit-gigit semut setelah di oles, tapi setelah beberapa saat hilang rasanya.

Untuk yang pakai Acne Foundation (AF 5), hati-hati buka seal plastik yang ada di dalamnya setiap kali pemakaian, karena teksturnya yang cair dan lengket, aku pernah nggak sengaja menumpahkan waktu aku buka. Belepotan kemana-mana deh, sayang juga pruduknya jadi terbuang. 

Baik treatment pagi dan malam, sehabis dioles akan membuat muka kelihatan berminyak banget, namun setelah beberapa saat, semuanya akan meresap dan meninggalkan efek matte di kulit.

Nah, setelah semingguan aku melakukan semua itu, aku kembali lagi ke Erha Clinic BSD untuk melakukan facial. Kalau mau datang facial sebaiknya buat janji dulu beberapa hari sebelumnya karena terapis disana sangat terbatas, Lalu pada hari H, datang 15 menit lebih awal, karena takut akan di skip ke pasien selanjutnya kalau terlambat. 

Facial yang aku lakukan namanya DPCT with oil control serum. DPCT singkatan dari Deep Pore Cleansing Technique dimana pori-pori kulit dibersihkan dengan mendalam. Sebelum mulai tretment ini, terapisnya memberikan kemben dan hair cap untuk dipakai. Apabila tidak mau pakai juga nggak apa-apa.

Langkah-langkah DPCT adalah sebagai berikut:

1. Wajah dibersihkan dengan scrub kemudian dibilas dengan spons basah, setelah itu dibersihkan lagi, kali ini aku merasa clensernya lebih milky, setelah itu dibilas lagi.

2. Pori-pori di steam agar proses ekstraksi lebih gampang.

3. Proses ekstraksi. Ini facial professional aku yang pertama, jadi sakitnya bukan main! setiap senti kulitku habis dipencet oleh terapisnya, sampai keluar air mata dan bersin-bersin, setelah selesai mbaknya memperlihatkan komedo, jerawat, dan lemak yang berhasil dia angkat dari kulit aku...wow! speechless, selembar tissue sampai full kotoran semua! agak jijik jadinya :D

4. Alat yang ujungnya bulat-bulat digosok kewajah, rasanya hangat-hangat dan seperti disetrum ringan, nggak sakit tapinya.

5. Pengolesan oil contol serum.

6. 'Alat pijat' pipih yang dingin digosokkan ke wajah, enak rasanya, menenangkan kulit yang habis 'disiksa'.

7. Pengolesan masker. Masker dioles juga ke seluruh mata dan bibir aku, terapisnya bilang saat dimasker aku ngga boleh buka mata atau mulut. Maskernya nggak akan membuat perih atau termakan, just relax the face.

8. Pembersihan masker. Bagian mata dan bibir dibersihkan dahulu, setelah itu maskernya tinggal dikelupas. Kulit dibilas lagi dengan spons basah.

9 Pengolesan Acne Moisturizer Gel 3 (AMG 3). Terapisnya bilang, setelah satu jam baru boleh cuci muka.

10. Aku diberikan masker collagen untuk dipakai minggu depan. Teh hangat juga disediakan. 

Collagen Mask

Proses pijat tidak dilakukan dalam treatment kali ini karena masih ada jerawat aktif diwajah aku, takutnya apabila dipijat akan meradang dan menyebar kemana-mana. Aku disarankan untuk melakukan facial dua minggu sekali. Setelah jerawat-jerawat menghilang, facial dapat dilakukan sebulan sekali untuk maintenance.

Keseluruhan proses memakan biaya Rp 200.000,- saat melihat ke kaca aku kaget! mukaku merah-merah semua! mau nangis, kelihatan seperti korban kosmetik yang ngga cocok. Aku tahu ini pasti karena proses ekstraksinya, namun aku yakin beberapa hari kedepan juga akan hilang (Thanks God, its long weekend!). 

Sisi positifnya, mukaku terasa halus banget saat disentuh, bahkan ngga ada little bumps sedikitpun, ngga ada 'jabrik-jabrik' komedo yang terasa...wah ini pertama kalinya dalam hidup, kulit aku terasa seperti ini.

Jadi bagaimana jadinya kulit aku kedepannya?  Akan selalu aku update perkembangan kulitku di blog ini. Semoga posting kali ini dapat bermanfaat untuk kalian semua. Terima kasih telah mampir :D
