Perfume Review: Versace Bright Crystal

Hi Vixen, today I will do a review about Versace Bright Crystal Eau de Toilette. My sister got in for me when she was travelled to Singapore, it cost her SGD $ 112 for a 90 ml or 3 US fl.0z.

Describe in three words: uplifting, youthful, feminine

What does it smells like?
Top Notes: Yuzu, Pomegranate
Middle Notes: Lotus, Magnolia, Peony
Base Note: Musk, Mahogany, Amber

To me the most prominent note I get from Bright Crystal is Yuzu. As far as I know, yuzu is some kind of orange. It blends beautifully with other floral notes, not overly sweet and fruity.

For me this scent is fresh, crisp, sparkling, and bitter-sweet at the beginning. Then it changes into a moderate oriental dry down of amber and musk. It starts as a cute and cheerful then it grows into something than can be considered sensual to me.

This perfume is perfect for summer days or wedding, safe to use for work because it is not too strong and offensive. The bottle itself is very unique, pink sparkly juice in a heavy glass bottle, big sparkly crystal lid on top of it. Not really my style but I still like seeing it on my vanity table.

What kind of woman wearing this fragrance?
This is a beautiful lady for sure, someone who will shine at the party without trying too hard. She knows how to win a man’s heart without being slutty or bitchy. She has a perfect manner. This perfume is suitable for someone witty, girly, free, and fun to be with.

How about the longevity and sillage?
I’m going to say that this fragrance has moderate longevity on me. It stays strong for the first hour or two and then it start to fade away. I feel like I need to re-spray after 4 hours or so.  Sillage is quite strong to me. I spray it, I walk out the door, I coming back, I can smell it in the room.

Would it be my signature scent?
Even though this is a nice fragrance, I have no desire to always use it or have it during my lifetime :)

I hope this review would be helpful to you. Have you ever tried Bright Crystal? what is your favorite perfume? tell me on the comment below

Beauty Haul from Australia: Victoria's Secret, Lucas Papaw, Cover Girl, Tresemme, Bio Oil

Hi all, I just got back from Australia, I spent about a week there with my aunt. The products I mention below are new to me, I'm so excited to use all of them because I never try them before :D do you have any experience with this products? what do you think of them? please let me know

Greetings from Australia!

1. Bio Oil (Got it in a beauty store called Priceline, I can't provide you with the price, I forget it, I can't find the receipt either. So sorry girls)

From their website:
"Bio‑Oil is a specialist skincare oil that helps improve the appearance of scars, stretch marks and uneven skin tone. It is also effective for aging and dehydrated skin. Bio‑Oil has won 85 skincare awards and has become the No.1 selling scar and stretch mark product in 11 countries since its global launch in 2002."

2. Victoria's Secret 'Bombshell' Eau de Parfum ($ AUD 57)

My aunt bought it for my mother, but I believe my mother wouldn't mind if I borrow it sometimes ;) I will do review about this fragrance in the future.

From Victoria's Secret website:

Sexy today. Sexy tomorrow. Sexy forever. Embrace your inner bombshell with this FiFi Award-winning eau de parfum from our Victoria’s Secret Bombshell fragrance collection. A glamorous blend of purple passion fruit, Shangri-la peony and vanilla orchid. Spray on for scent that lingers.

Tips & Tricks: For longer-lasting fragrance, layer with Victoria’s Secret Bombshell Body Lotion.

  • Fragrance type: Fresh
  • Top notes: Tangelo, pineapple, strawberry, purple passion fruit
  • Middle notes: Jasmine, red berries, muguet, Shangri-la peony, vanilla orchid
  • Dry-down notes: Musk, blonde woods, oakmoss
  • Domestic

3. Tresemme Heat Tamer Protective Spray (about $ AUD 9)

From the bottle:
"Specially formulated to work with styling irons to provide lasting style control when creating straight styles, wave flicks, or curls. Protects againts heat damage."

4. Lucas Papaw Ointment ($ AUD 5.50)
From the bottle:
"A local topical application for boils, burns, chafing, cuts, cracked skin, gravel rash, splinters, open wounds, insect bites, and nappy rash."

It smells sweet, like honey. So far it does an amazing job moisturizing my lips. Not as sticky as Vaseline Pertroleum Jelly. Definitely a cult product.

5. Cover Girl Lash Blast Volume ( $ AUD 10)
From the CoverGirl website:
"Get a blast of lush, volumized lashes! LashBlast's patented volume-boosting formula and patent-pending brush are designed to max out each and every lash, leaving you with the ultimate big-lash look. Now in waterproof, too!"

I've been wanting to try this mascara for so long, finally I got it. Too bad I didn't pay attention the the color, I got the black brown instead of very black one.

6. Rapid White Tooth Whitening (about $ AUD 20)

It suppose to get you 4 shades whiter in one week. I haven't tried it yet. I don't know whether it works or not.

Until next time, stay beautiful :D
xoxo

Victoria’s Secret Sheer Love Deep Softening Body Butter

Hi Vixens, long time no post, today I will review my newest favorite body product, Victoria’s Secret Sheer Love Deep Softening Body Butter.

From the packaging:
“Fall in Sheer Love, bright and cheerful with fresh white cotton and luminous pink lily.
Experience the luxury of fragrant hydration. Restorative formula is enriched with deeply conditioning shea and jojoba butter, plus antioxidant vitamin E. Skin feels soft, smooth and touchable: the ultimate sexy sensation.”

I almost run out of my Sheer Love body cream so I decided to purchase this one. And I have to tell you, this stuff is amazing! Why? Let’s break down

1    The Scent
I love Sheer Love body spray (you can read my review here) and I have to tell you that the body butter smells better than the body spray or the body cream. The body spray has a slight ‘dry powdery’ drydown, the body cream has a ‘sweet synthetic plastic’ smell to it. This body butter smells perfect! No powdery drydown, no synthetic plastic. When I apply it, I detect a refreshing watery melon or cucumber scent (weird, because both don’t listed in the ingredients) and settle down to this clean but somehow sweet floral scent. Perfect for spring or summer day, inoffensive, romantic, and delicate.

2.      The Texture
The texture is soft and creamy but absorbs quickly into the skin. Unlike the Sheer Love Body Cream this body butter doesn’t have a sticky feeling to it. People with a very dry skin might find this body butter not moisturizing enough and want to consider something richer.

Overall I really satisfy with Sheer Love body butter and will continue to buy this. Have you ever tried Victoria’s Secret Body Butter? What other scent you recommend to me? What is your favorite body butter brand? Tell me in the comment below.
