Hong Kong Beauty Haul: Le Labo, Chanel, Tatcha, By Terry, RMS Beauty, MAC, Bobbi Brown, Fresh, Jurlique, La Roche Posay, Vichy

Hi all, I just got back from Hong Kong and I would like to share with you all beauty products that I got there. I haven’t got time to play with them all so if you want me to do a specific product review, please let me know in the comments below. Let’s get started.

Le Labo Vetiver 46

Le Labo is niche, hard to find, under the radar brand that not everyone familiar with. According to Fragrantica, the number in the fragrance name indicates the number of notes in its composition and the name of material (Vetiver, Jasmin, Labdanum) refers to the most prominent note in it.

I sampled the Santal 33 and Rose 31 but finally went for Vetiver 46. The perfume was freshly mixed at the store in front of my eyes and the bottle label was personalized too. I decided to put my BF name on it since we would be likely sharing it in the future. The store was very rustic and vintage. It was a unique perfume experience.

Price: HKD 1980 (*around Rp 3.425.400,-) for 100 ml. I got mine at Le Labo Store at Star Street, Hong Kong.

Chanel Coco Mademoiselle Eau de Parfum

From Chanel Website: Inspired by the irrepressible spirit of the young Coco Chanel, the modern oriental fragrance entices with an utterly feminine composition, expressing refined sensuality and incredible freshness. Spirited and sensual.

Chanel Coco Mademoiselle is a Chypre Floral fragrance with notes of orange, mandarin orange, orange blossom and bergamot, mimosa, jasmine, turkish rose, ylang-ylang, tonka bean, patchouli, opoponax, vanilla, vetiver and white musk.

For people who thinks Chanel Coco is too mature, loud, and strong do try Chanel Coco Mademoiselle. It smells fresher, younger, while still maintain the classy attitude.

Price: HKD 980 (*around Rp 1.608.900) for 50 ml. I got mine at DFS, Hong Kong International Airport.

Chanel Coco Noir Eau de Parfum

From Chanel Website: Coco Noir reinvents oriental fragrances to reveal an intimate and mysterious new vision of femininity. The striking scent offers a modern composition that combines power and delicacy, expressing luminous floral facets and a sensual, magnetic resonance. Magnetic, Brilliant, Uncompromising.

Top notes: grapefruit, calabrian bergamot, Heart notes: rose, narcissus, rose geranium leaf and jasmine. Base notes: tonka bean, sandalwood, vanilla, patchouli and white musk.

If Coco Mademoiselle is the fun, bright, and spirited young woman then Coco Noir is the moody, mysterious quiet lady at the night. It smells warm, spicy, and balsamic. Perfect for night time.

Price: HKD 1015 (*around Rp 1.755.950) for 50 ml. I got mine at DFS, Hong Kong International Airport.

Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Sheer Colour Stick No 20

Creamy blush stick that blends seamlessly onto the skin. This particular shade No 20 is dark bronze color with teeny tiny bit of shimmer in it. I plan to use it as a contour shade. I will report the result in the future.

By Terry Baume de Rose

For some people, high end lip balm would be considered as a waste of money. As for me, expensive lip balms are not a must have but I do enjoy them from time to time. This time I try the By Terry Baume de Rose. Birchbox said that it is a favorite of Parisian models and Hollywood actresses, it plumps and soothes chapped lips with a blend of precious actives. Pure rose essential wax smoothes away roughness, shea butter doubles the formula's moisturizing powers, bio-ceramides undo the look of fine lines, and lipid spheres help skin retain hydration. Plus, it also works as a luxurious nail treatment for dry cuticles.
